I tend to agree with the input on this thread. If you are on a raid, you should be able to bid on loot and the DKP points will favor those who attend more consistently. I also think the Raider/Member distinction is silly.
Alts should be able to bid on stuff too, but mains should get first stab, that is reasonable
The minimum 100DKP is a little over the top. I have been conservative in bidding (patient) in letting others get stuff first expecting to get things cheaper for waiting longer. This 100DKP minimum penalizes people who waited or perhaps don't get the opportunity to be on as much. We are mostly older adults with families and careers. We play for fun and camaraderie as our schedules permit. This rule penalizes us for no logical reason. The greed bids seem counter productive, unless nobody in a given class needs it - If no bidders, then greed seems reasonable on tradeable stuff only. The no-drop 1DKP bid is fair. Something else that would speed things up would be to loot all tradeable stuff and do bidding at the end of the raid rather than stop and burn up time with each kill. It would also keep people there until the end of the raid if they wanted to bid on something. If rules get too complicated, people will leave and new folks won't join. There are plenty of other options out there. We need to preserve the great culture we have if we want to grow and flourish.

No system is perfect and will make everyone happy but I think I speak for many when I say I apprecitae the efforts of all officers and your genuine concern for the guild and what best serves our members. Loot to me is secondary. The great people of this guild and the fun, exciting things we do together, along with a genuine desire to help is what keeps me here. Running a guild (or any organization) is a challenging and ofttimes thankless job. I for one acknowledge and appreciate your hard work. You're doing an awesome job, each one of you. Keep up the good work. There is much more ahead of us and I'm excited to see what comes next.

you've kind of lost me - let's say we have 4 L60 Enchanters in rotation and we are killing VS. How long do we pause? 13, 17, 25, 35 or 45? Your explanation suggests 13, but will that value be set at the time of the raid or is it something we can set up in advance?

Hi all and thanks for having me - Adonna the 50 Chanter/265 Jeweler. I came over with a few friends from another guild. I played EQ back in the day (and EQ2) had several epic characters w/endgame gear, been in hardcore guilds (even led a couple), but now am content to be a part of a group who are family style casual players who can take on the high end content and have a spirit of camaraderie, group together and help each other out. I'm not about the greed, I would rather see us help each other to get geared and have fun. My pet peeve is people who want drops they can't use that others in the group need because they want to sell it for krono or plat. That really makes me mad! What comes around goes around.
IRL I am an executive, married for 35 years to the woman of my dreams (yeah, I'm a guy playing a female character - better to look at than a hairy ogre LOL) and my 2 sons are grown and on their own. expecting my 1st granddaughter in june (more excited for that than the release of Kunark - LOL). 
I play EQ as a way to relax - my wife watches TV and I already remodeled the house so don't need to see any more of those shows. I tend to play alts a fair amount because I'm already 50, but would be glad to group to help others and keep my edge.
I will make jewelry for you at or near cost as a guildy, even though I've probably spent 10-20 krono skilling up (but please don't take advantage of me - I wouldn't like that).
Looking forward to being in a guild where I am appreciated for my contributions and rewarded for my loyalty. Also looking forward to getting to know you all better.
