Audubon's vote:
1. No
2. Yes
3. No

1) Raider boxes selected by leadership.

I fear this will have an appearance of favoritism. Is it objective, subjective, or granted to senior leader's and officer's boxes only? Resembles loot council system in that a selected characters are designated for loot priority, which I think we all want to stay away from. Also, rules should be incentivising real players in that raid spot. If a box is there because there are no mains around, then they'll get the loot anyway!

2) Loot minimum bid values.

I was back and forth on this ones but I think yes WILL help the guild make our bidding system feel more fair and even for everyone involved. This will make people think twice before grabbing an item that is not a true upgrade. get rid of bidding tiers and this problem will absolutely go away.

I voted with the following recommendation: Applies only DROPPABLE items as they have resale value. Only for CERTAIN items (items and their values pre-determined by leadership and posted for all to see).

We already have a minimum; so what we are really talking about is making it more in line with item values. Suggestion: RBB/COF 50 starting bid. Trakanon BP, Venril greaves 100 DKP starting bid. Trash drops and NO DROPS remain at 1 DKP. Example: Undead Dragon Sinew 1 DKP.

In the current system a single 1 DKP is so minuscule that there is absolutely ZERO reason to pass an item on to the next tier of bidders, even if it is not an actual upgrade or a very marginal one. Example using myself: Currently I have 950 DKP, 1 DKP is 0.1% of my DKP pool. I replace that DKP cost 40-50x in one raid.

Example: real example that happened at Sunday raid (no fault of those involved): A monk raider with 650 DKP is the only one able to bid on an RBB for 1 DKP while two monk members who also could benefit also from an item cannot bid even though they have 350 and 450 respectively. The membe

For any DKP system to be fair it needs to be consistent and unbiased. Having special exceptions to the rules only for certain people is a potential source of bias. Also allowing some alts priority is inconsistent. Introducing bias and inconsistency to our loot system, not to mention making it difficult to manage, will be detrimental as a whole.

Making more controversial changes is disruptive and will only serve us to lose more of our raiders, each of which is important to the success of this guild.

There is nothing wrong with the current DKP system. I'd like to not see us lose any more raiders over short sighted loot changes.

Not to mention it may hinder efforts to recruit and retain new members.

I don't mind alts being able to get geared, but it shouldn't be on an even tier with a main.

Again the raider/member distinction is elitist.

Players will come and go. Real life happens, illness, moves, jobs, relationships. Burn out. New games. Moving to other guilds.

We need to stop pretending that our "raiders" will always be there. People leave for various and valid reasons.

We need to constantly cultivate the next generation of raiders. We need to treat new members with respect, treat them as a part of our gaming family, and make sure they have a good time on raids and they will keep coming back.

I understand wanting to tighten up guild rules surrounding loot. However, I don't see how these changes help us as a guild.

We are having a problem filling the raid roster. Two weeks ago, attendance was so low that we couldn't finish Trakanon. I'm sure low attendance has many reasons behind it, but I have no doubt that prior controversial loot changes caused us to lose raiders.

We have to ask ourselves as a guild are these changes important and are they necessary. Who do these changes benefit.

1. Boxes on raids
Disagree with having special treatment for some boxed characters. I especially disagree with allowing them to compete with raiders of the same class.

2. Alts on raids
Giving special treatment to "special" alts to bid against raiders is confusing and goes against the core rule set.

3. Minimum bids
Not opposed totally to having minimum starting bid on tradeable items. No drop items should go for 1 dkp rather than rotting.

4. Greed
Don't agree with having greed rolls above members. Removing members from the loot all together is an insulting blow to all members of the guild. Promotion to raider has been entirely inconsistent. Do away with raider / member distinction. This is elitist and now we'd like to abuse that raider position in a loot grab. DKP by itself really eliminates the need to have this tiered looting system.

I've heard the reasons behind it and they do not apply:

Determining who can raid when we have over 72 online.. not a problem in the forseeable future.

Determining who gets epics first? Elitist and most epic drops now go to guild bank or rot.

Making sure a new member doesn't snag a cloak of flames on the first raid? DKP takes care of that.

Frankly I'm embarrassed to explain this elitist system to new members and tell them that there is no telling when, how, or why they may finally be allowed to roll on loot?

Ancient Jarsath

I spent some time on live messing around in FV and I have some helpful information
Have not tested this on TLP yet

"an Ancient Jarsath"  level 42 iksar skeletal NPC - not agro to any mobs, if up will stay up until players kill

Spawn point: various locations throughout the eastern  part of the zone
-magelo map shows its spawn and pathing range accurately https://eq.magelo.com/npc/1654

pathing: usually travels in a pattern from north to south, or from south to north (depending on where it spawns), rarely will zig zag east to west or west to east, but then quickly
-very frequently paths by drolvarg ruins south near road
-very frequently paths by drolvarg base on east side middle of zone
-very frequently paths near the southern road toward area where pilgrims and drixies are located
-this is why he's always up if no players are there, as drolvargs get killed by pilgrims

PHs: place holders mimic the spawn points, stopping points, and pathing;
-place holders include DROLVARG snarler, scavenger, savage, growler

AJ/PH respawn time
-respawn timer is 4 min 50 seconds
-AJ can spawn back to back (saw up to 3 times in a row)

Tracking: using ranger track from the drolvag main base (east side) can track all of AJs spawn range
-if you have a timer on AJ you can keep tracking its PHs by finding a drolvarg that shows up on track 4:52 after AJ dies

Using this method i was able to get AJ to spawn 4 times within an hour, here is what that looks like:
Trial#1
Ancient jarsath, a drolvarg Snarler,a drolvarg scavenger, a drolvarg growler, an ancient Jarsath

Trial#2
a drolvarg growler, a drolvarg growler, an ancient Jarsath

Trial#3
a drolvarg snarler, an ancient Jarsath

Apologies for any previous misinformation as this guy has been a complete black box, there is very little info on the internet.

Do not need to hunt goblins, frogloks, eels, pirates, pilgrims, drixies, Red Eye Jack, Kwinn etc

There may also be a "catch up mechanic" where

Totally agree with Brutal on many points made, thank you. I know its frustrating to have variable attendance at raids. I can't speak for everyone but I do my best to attend every raid I can. I'm sure most of us do. And for me it doesn't matter whether I need anything that drops or not. I like to see everyone getting gear and drops.

That said if I am absent from a raid its going to be 100% that I am working (often have irregular hours, late days, not to mention pacific time as well). As much as I love playing and raiding with you guys I am a professional and my work comes first.

I disagree with this change because I think it is negative for the guild:
-It has the potential to divert loot away from classes that STILL benefit for accomplishing more as a guild
-could divert gear from our raids into the market or other guilds (granted its TLP and there is not as much of a strict competition)
-direclty or indirectly approves selling items that are potentially still NEED items

1) Archetype restrictions for key items (ex CoF, RBB, white dragon scale cloak) in their era:
If we are keeping this then i suggest modifying the rules in this way:
-Items stay restricted through at least through the 2nd following era (Velious for Cloak of Flames, White Dragon Cloak, Amulet of Necropotence)
- Restricted items need to have minimum purchase prices while still restricted (see #2)
-If we are still raiding content as an official raid then literally NOTHING has changed on Day 1 of Kunark and the items should be to gear up the raid force so we can do bigger and better things.
-If we only gear 1-2 top tier tanks with AC gear and good weapons or 5-6 melees with a haste item and then open it up, we will be hamstringing our future
-We want to avoid having 3rd and 4th main tanks and Knight off tanks fall behind in gear, and cannot fill in when the are still expected to fulfill main tank and raid level DPS
-Tanks and melees also likely could not ever compete with the massive caster DKP pool until caster loot drops increase, sorry guys but there are just way more casters and less caster loot
-Also, some raids such as Traknon, we have a short time to farm and the items are rare (such as class BP)

2) Selling of DKP items and DKP minimum purchase price
-Selling items that were bid on with DKP should be highly discouraged in the rules, if not prohibited even.
-DKP is a system designed for one purpose - to fairly distribute loot to those that contribute and attend the most
-Any selling of sought after items creates low moral
